MELTER 100% Nylon

メルター

Melter is adhesive sewing thread which is made from the idea of “basting by sticking”.
Put the Melter between two pieces of fabric and apply a steam iron there for a moment, then the fabric will be glued. It can be used as “temporary adhesive” instead of basting and/or using marking pins. It makes the sewing work easier surprisingly.
※Use as bobbin threads in case of the machine use.

Pay attention to the following points about the Melter thread.

  • It can be difficult to adhere to a waterproof cloth with silicone resin.
  • In case of adhering to the cloth with low melting point like acrylic one, it may shrink and/or melt.
  • If the Melter thread is applied by an iron directly, the resin will melt and be adhered to the iron. When it happens, please wipe the iron by the cloth with some industrial alcohol (ethanol) and clean it.
  • In case of adhering to a thin fabric, the fabric with a loose weave or knitted fabric, please use less portion of the Melter thread because the resin may ooze out.
